Seattle man collapses, dies on hiking trail

A Seattle man hiking with friends north of Cle Elum collapsed and died Sunday, despite some expert help.
The Kittitas County Sheriff says David Brumer, 56, had some type of medical emergency and collapsed in the area of Longs Pass, in the Teanaway Valley. He died at the scene, despite getting immediate aid from his friends, who are medical professionals.
A seven person search and rescue team got the to man Sunday. Plans call for a helicopter to remove his body Monday from the steep and remote area.
