Seattle principal cleared in way she handled student touching case

An internal investigation has cleared an elementary school
principal in Seattle of wrongdoing for the way she handled a
case of inappropriate touching.
The investigation by the Seattle School District
looked into the actions of Lafayette Elementary Principal Jo
Lute-Ervin, who responded to a report that a third grader
inappropriately touched himself during recess.
The principal reportedly interviewed students
without their parents present and asked some of them to
demonstrate what they’d seen.
The Seattle Times reports that the three-week
investigation concluded that Lute-Ervin failed to follow the
district’s best practices, but did not violate district
policy and was not disciplined.
