With less than three weeks until Washington’s GOP caucus, our state has become very popular among the candidates.
Republican Presidential hopeful Rick Santorum made stops in Olympia and Tacoma on Monday. He held what turned out to be a rowdy rally in Tacoma.
On Thursday, his opponent Ron Paul will stop Washington, starting with a rally in Vancouver, followed by a rally at a SeaTac hotel. On Friday, he’ll head to the Tri-Cities.
Meanwhile, President Obama will make a campaign stop on Friday visiting Everett’s Paine field.
Mitt Romney has plans to swing by the state on March 1.
Newt Gingrich hasn’t confirmed any plans to visit yet, but has a presence in the state. Efforts on Gingrich behalf are being lead by Lew Moore, the national campaign manager for Ron Paul’s 2008 presidential campaign, and chief of staff to the late Congressman Jack Metcalf.
