Three Mexican citizens arrested after trying to distribute 30 pounds of meth in Bellevue

Three Mexican residents were arrested after allegedly being caught with 30 pounds of crystal methamphetamine during a drug deal late last week in Bellevue.

Law enforcement intercepted the multi-national drug ring, setting up a drug deal to purchase approximately 30 pounds of crystal methamphetamine for $62,000.

The deal went down in a restaurant parking lot in Bellevue. Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) was involved in the bust and the subsequent investigation.

“After seeing the drugs, law enforcement swooped in to arrest the drug traffickers,” the Department of Justice stated in its report. “The traffickers attempted to flee but were taken into custody.

The three suspects — Eber Omar Barrones-Madrid, 24, Juan Jose Prado-Estrada, 25, and Jose Manuel Ochoa-Sanchez, 27 — have been charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of controlled substances with an attempt to distribute. They are currently being held at the Federal Detention Center at SeaTac.
