Two new Link light rail stations will open in Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond as part of the 2 Line’s 3.4-mile Downtown Redmond Link Extension

The trains will run daily from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., every eight minutes during peak times, connecting 10 stations from South Bellevue to Downtown Redmond, with 1,400 parking stalls available at Marymoor Village.

The new stations are expected to support this growth by easing traffic and improving transit access, especially for the city’s large workforce driven by companies like Microsoft. As Redmond’s population surges during the workweek and future housing demands rise, officials are hailing the light rail as a critical infrastructure investment.

Redmond welcomes two new Light Rail stations

Ursula Reutin, co-host of “The Gee and Ursula Show” on KIRO Newsradio, supports the light rail expansion and is excited for the new opportunities it will bring to those in Redmond.

“Redmond is almost unrecognizable from 20 years ago,” Ursula said. “Kudos to Redmond for embracing the idea, when a lot of people were like, ‘eh,’ and I think they’re reaping the benefits.”

“Hey, shout out to Redmond. That’s a win,” Gee Scott, co-host of “The Gee and Ursula Show,” added. “You don’t have to pay for parking when you get to downtown.”
