A suspect attempting to burglarize a commercial marijuana farm was arrested by the Seattle Police Department (SPD) after he struck a patrol car during an attempt to flee police.

Just after 3 a.m. Dec. 23, SPD officers were called to a commercial marijuana farm after video surveillance showed three individuals attempting to force their way inside.

When officers arrived, they confronted two vehicles at the rear of the building.

“One of the vehicles struck a patrol car before the occupant gave up to officers,” SPD stated in its crime blotter. “The second vehicle fled, almost striking the same patrol before fleeing onto I-5.”

The suspect who rammed into an SPD vehicle surrendered to authorities at the scene. The vehicle was verified as stolen. Inside the car was a safe not related to this incident.

The suspect was then transported and booked into King County Jail.

The suspects who fled on I-5 escaped, as no additional suspects were arrested.
