Seattle company honors ‘true hero’ Kenneth Bone from debate

Oct 11, 2016, 2:21 PM | Updated: 2:38 pm

Kenneth Bone, the undecided voter who became an internet sensation thanks to the second presidential debate and his sweater, has now been immortalized by a Seattle-based company.

Strideline began selling “Bone Zone” socks, named after Kenneth Bone.

Bone was one of the audience members who was given the opportunity to ask Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump this question: “What steps will your energy policy take to meet our energy needs while at the same time remaining environmentally friendly and minimizing job layoffs?”

But the question isn’t why Bone became an immediate star. No. It was his sweater.

The New York Times reports the red cable-knit cotton sweater with a quarter zip sold out within hours. Amazon restocked the sweater Monday, but at least the red version of the item sold out again.

Along with the sock, other companies quickly took to making T-shirts and other merchandise with Bone’s likeness on them. But it’s the socks that commemorate a “true American Hero.”

The website points out that “not all heroes wear capes.”

So for all you Kenneth Bone enthusiasts … welcome to the “Bone Zone.”
