Stillaguamish man arrested after gunfire erupts inside Arlington home overnight Friday

Officers with the Arlington Police Department were sent to the 400 block of E. Division Street early Friday morning after a 911 caller said they could hear nearby gunfire coming from inside a home.
Concerned for public safety, Arlington officers worked alongside neighboring agencies, including the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Stillaguamish Police Department, and the Lake Stevens Police Department, during their response.

Man arrested after late-night gunfire in Arlington
A 20-year-old man from the Stillaguamish tribal community was the only person inside the home. Officers used public-address announcements to encourage him to surrender, and he was taken into custody around 2 a.m. Authorities said drugs or alcohol may have contributed to the incident.
The man was booked at the Snohomish County Jail on suspicion of unlawful discharge of a firearm and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. No injuries were reported, and authorities have not confirmed any property damage.
The Stillaguamish Police Department is leading the investigation. Officials said the area is secure and poses no risk to the public.
