Firefighters have since secured the natural gas leak, but are monitoring the air to ensure gas levels are dissipating, SFD reported around 3:20 p.m.

“Firefighters are notifying impacted residents when it is safe to return to their homes,” the department stated on X.

No injuries have been reported.

Firefighters detected natural gas near a construction site in the 1200 block of North Allen Place.
