A memorable evening of food, wine, and culture is coming to Tacoma later this month.

On July 24 at the family-owned OBK Winery, local chef Jan Parker and Monterey-based pastry chef Ashley del Rosario are joining forces for Mangia Tayo, a one-night-only Filipino-Italian pop-up dinner.

Parker is known throughout the region and beyond for dining experiences that look to celebrate Filipino cuisine, local farm ingredients and producers, and foster community connections. Rosario — whose culinary journey includes experience at Animae, the renowned San Diego restaurant recognized by the Michelin Guide — is bringing her expertise in Italian pastry to the evening.

Coined after the Italian word mangia (eat) and the Filipino word tayo (together), Mangia Tayo seeks to reflect the spirit of communal dining. Guests can expect a thoughtfully curated five-course family-style menu featuring Parker’s modern take on Filipino cuisine and del Rosario’s elegant desserts, which blend classical Italian techniques with the flavors of her own Filipino heritage. Seatings are set for 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.

“Mangia Tayo is about more than sharing a meal,” said Parker in a press release. “It’s about celebrating our heritage, building community, and creating connections through food and wine. We’re excited to welcome Chef Ashley to Tacoma and share an unforgettable evening with our guests.”

Reservations are required, and seating is limited. Tickets are available here.
