Art on the Ave, presented by TAPCO Credit Union and the Sixth Avenue Business District, is returning to Tacoma on Aug. 9 with a day of art, music, food, and family-friendly activities.

The free event runs from noon to 7 p.m. along Sixth Avenue between Alder and State Streets. It will feature more than 200 artists, small businesses, community organizations, and vendors in addition to food trucks, beer gardens, a kid zone, and interactive art activities. Live entertainment will take place throughout the district on multiple stages.

“Our Sixth Avenue branch sits right in the center of the district, so this event feels especially close to home for TAPCO,” said Richard Stirgus, TAPCO’s vice president of marketing and impact, in a press release. “We are proud to partner with the Sixth Avenue Business District to support an event that brings people together, highlights local artists and small businesses, and celebrates the creativity of Sixth Avenueand the greater Tacoma community.”
