Edmonds College, Western Washington University Announce Partnership

Edmonds College and Western Washington University are partnering on a Guaranteed Transfer Admission Program that ensures admission to WWU for EC students who apply after completing a qualifying transfer associate degree with at least a 2.5 GPA.

Beyond guaranteed entry, the application fee will be waived, and there’ll be immediate eligibility for transfer scholarships.

The agreement also establishes an accelerated pathway for high school students. Through Edmonds’ Running Start program, eligible high school juniors and seniors can earn two years of transferable college credit tuition-free. Students who complete a transfer associate degree can enter Western with junior standing.

“We are very excited about our ability to work with Western Washington University and provide a smooth transfer pathway for students,” said EC’s vice president of instruction, Kim Chapman, in a press release. “Western is a strong partner for Edmonds College, and we are pleased to formalize this agreement for our students.”
