Copperworks Distilling, Urban Family Brewing Collaborate for Whiskey Club Offering

Copperworks Distilling Co. and Urban Family Brewing Co. have teamed up to offer Copperworks American Single Malt Urban Family Barley Wine Cask, available exclusively to Copperworks’ Whiskey Club members.

“As mutual fans of each other’s work, we naturally formed an ongoing partnership which has led to this exciting cask collaboration,” said Jason Parker, president and co-founder of Copperworks Distilling Co., in a press statement.

For this release, Urban Family matured its Treehouse in the City barleywine in a Copperworks cask that previously held American Single Malt Whiskey, then returned the cask to Copperworks. Copperworks then filled the cask with 3-and-a-half-year-old Copperworks signature 5 Malt whiskey. After 10 months of additional maturation in the finishing cask, it bottled the whiskey at 50% ABV (100 proof). There’s a limited release of 330 bottles.
