As the new school year approaches, Lynnwood nonprofit Clothes for Kids is hosting an open house-style gathering on Aug. 26, My Edmond News reported.

During the Sip, Shop & Drop event, guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at how the organization’s store operates, meet staff and volunteers, drop off clothing donations, and enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, the article said.

The open house will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the store’s 52nd Avenue location. No registration is required, and there is no entrance fee.

Since 1984, the nonprofit has served low-income children in Snohomish County and the Northshore School District, offering a retail-like environment where students shop for a school wardrobe, the article noted.
