Major rollover crash snarls traffic on I-405 amid commute

A major crash on southbound I-405 before State Route 520 snarled commute traffic Thursday evening.
The incident occurred shortly before 4 p.m., initially blocking four lanes. Crews first moved the blockage to the two express toll lanes and then had entirely cleared the scene by 5 p.m. Traffic backed up by four miles.
WSDOT tweeted that the PM commute is “already shot,” and that drivers should consider other routes.
