Career Coach Bob Rosner promised that he would get one Ross and Burbank listener a job in under 60 days.

Now 30 days in, Barb, the listener selected to receive Bob’s help, called in to give us an update on her progress.

Barb says she’s feeling more confident, and some of Bob’s tips are really making a difference.

In a phone interview on Wednesday, she tried something new he’d recommended, putting a mirror up in front herself while answering the interviewer’s questions.

“To make sure that my face was projecting the right mood, because if your face projects it, your face carries it through,” says Barb.

Bob says the mirror trick is an old sales technique.

“If you’re smiling into the mirror, you’re going to project positive energy.”

He also encouraged Barb to dress up for the interview, even though it was over the phone, so that she would approach it just as seriously as an in-person interview.

Barb says getting dressed appropriately and working on projecting the right image really makes her feel better about herself too.

“It all goes hand in hand,” says Barb. “Projecting the right impression makes you feel good.”

Half way through, Barb says she’s confident that she’ll find a job by the 60 day deadline.

More updates on her search to come.
