Man carrying umbrella causes lockdown at Kirkland hospital

EvergreenHealth Medical Center in Kirkland was locked down Wednesday morning after hospital staff mistook an umbrella for a rifle.

Police went room to room, searching the hospital for an armed man seen on surveillance with an unknown object that resembled a rifle on his back.

The search ended when the man identified himself and told police he was carrying an umbrella.
