Gas prices change all the time, and we know driving isn’t great for the environment, so one Canadian company is providing a solution by literally trying to create fuel out of thin air.

The Carbon Engineering plant has been running for a few months capturing carbon dioxide from the Earth’s atmosphere. Here comes the science – they then process the greenhouse gas into carbon pellets that can help make fuel.

“It’s now possible to take CO2 out of the atmosphere, and use it to produce net zero emission fuels,” says company CEO Adrian Corless.

You never know, we might see a Carbon Engineering type of plant in Seattle soon. Billionaires including Bill Gates and financier Murray Edwards are already investing, the Toronto Star reports.
