I-5 reopens in both directions between Maytown and Tumwater

I-5 has reopened in both directions in Thurston County at milepost 97, KIRO Newsradio confirmed.
The road was closed between Maytown and Tumwater due to downed trees and power lines across the freeway, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
Washington State Patrol first reported the closure at 11:15 a.m. Friday.

The roadway is blocked while crews repair a downed wire over the highway.
There is no ETA on when this will be completed.

The detour was on SR 121.
