Motorcycle bursts into flames after rider hits deer on SR 2

A motorcycle became fully engulfed in flames after the motorcyclist crashed into a deer along State Route 2 Sunday night.
Snohomish County Fire Department crews were called to respond to a “motorcycle v. deer collision” at approximately 10:30 p.m. The crash happened near State Route 2 and Bickford Avenue. The motorcycle was on fire when crews arrived. After quickly extinguishing the flames, the motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital. He suffered minor injuries in the collision, as of this reporting.
Snohomish Regional Fire & Rescue also responded alongside Snohomish County Fire District #4.
The condition of the deer is unknown.
