Plan ahead, expect to wait for I-90 pass closures this week

Getting to the east side of the state via I-90 has been a roll of the dice lately, and today the odds aren’t in drivers’ favor.
Due to heavy snowfall, The Washington State Department of Transportation has another I-90 closure planned for the next two nights — Jan. 25-26 — beginning at 11 p.m. each evening, and lasting for four hours.
Crews will be removing snow in the ditch line from the East Shed (new bridge) area and east toward Slide Curve. Traffic will be stopped eastbound at MP 56 near Gold Creek and westbound at MP 70 near Easton.
If you are headed over the pass, plan for the overnight delays and keep tuned to KIRO 97.3 FM to hear about additional closures as the weather changes.
