State Patrol releases numbers on I-405 toll violators

State troopers — who were educating commuters about the new I-405 Express Toll Lanes — pulled over 58 cars on Monday.
The Washington State Patrol released its numbers on Tuesday:
• 58 cars stopped for violations related to toll lanes
• 3 drivers received citations for HOV violations
• 55 received warnings
A majority (43) of those who were pulled over were violating the restrictive lane law; crossing the double white lines, according to the State Patrol.
We’re told, as with any traffic stop, a trooper has discretion in whether or not to issue a citation.
