Thanksgiving traffic not so bad in Seattle

Google Maps has ranked the top U.S. cities with the worst Thanksgiving traffic and Seattle isn’t even in the top 10. (We rank #15.)

Using anonymous data from Android users traveling during Thanksgiving weekend last year, Google determined the worst time to travel is Wednesday afternoon. Google also recommends heading back home on Sunday instead of Saturday, when it says traffic can be up to 40 percent worse.

Beating Seattle for some of the worst Thanksgiving traffic in the U.S. are 5.) Dallas 4.) Philadelphia 3.) San Francisco 2.) D.C. 1.) Los Angeles.

Google also pointed out that the top search term last year, on Thanksgiving Day, was “Buffet Restaurant.”
