The summer heat isn’t showing signs of slowing down, and neither is the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), as we near the end of August.

This week, drivers will see lane restrictions mixed with full closures, with a number of projects affecting the daytime commute.

Westbound SR 520 off-ramps to northbound I-5 and Roanoke will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

During these closures, all westbound SR 520 traffic that remains on SR 520 past the Montlake and Lake Washington Boulevard exits will detour to southbound I-5. Those who do not want to head southbound on I-5 must exit at Montlake or Lake Washington Boulevard.

This work is part of the SR 509 Completion Project.
