Anacortes police are investigating the deaths of two people found Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to a home near K Avenue and 14th Street just before 6:30 a.m. after gunshots were heard.

At the home, officers found the bodies of a man and a woman.

“Officers confirmed that two people are deceased at the scene,” Anacortes Police Department Officer Brent Lindquist told KIRO Newsradio. “The scene is still being processed, and this is an ongoing investigation.”

Information about the deaths is still scarce, but Lindquist said there is no ongoing threat to the community.
