A 6-year-old kidnapped from Lynnwood has been found and located safe and unharmed, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) confirmed, canceling an Amber Alert.

The child was allegedly kidnapped by a 32-year-old suspect, who remains outstanding. He is believed to be driving the victim’s 2010 silver Ford Fusion with Washington license plate CVF8854.

“The suspect is currently wanted for multiple felony domestic violence crimes,” the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Amber Alert issued after child went missing Monday night

The child was first reported missing at 9:55 p.m. Monday in Lynnwood. According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, a female victim was thrown from a vehicle near 148th Street S.W. in Lynnwood.

When Snohomish County deputies made contact with the woman, 29, they found she had significant injuries to her head and face after she was thrown from the car. She was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center.

“This disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety as determined by the investigating agency,” the Amber Alert stated before it was canceled.

Deputies later confirmed the suspect is the victim’s ex-boyfriend. He fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle with her 6-year-old child inside.

“Early this morning, King County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report from a family friend who resides in Shoreline,” the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office wrote. “The friend stated they woke up to find the child in their front yard around 5:30 a.m.”

The child had no injuries, and has since been reunited with his mother.

Anyone who sees the suspect or the vehicle should call 911 immediately. Deputies warn the public not to approach the suspect.
