Burien man arrested for impersonating sheriff, threatening driver at gunpoint

A Burien man was arrested Wednesday night after allegedly impersonating a law enforcement officer and threatening a driver at gunpoint.
King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) deputies responded to Burien after receiving reports of a person with a weapon, according to KIRO 7.
As deputies arrived, they were alerted to the victim’s whereabouts by numerous witnesses.

The victim detailed that an unknown individual approached the vehicle they were sitting in and appeared to flash a sheriff’s badge.
The suspect then ordered the victim to step out of the vehicle.
The victim said the suspect displayed a gun and threatened to kill them.
A K-9 unit was deployed on the scene, which was able to locate the gun nearby.
The suspect was eventually taken into custody and booked into jail on three pending charges.
No injuries were reported, and the investigation remains underway.
