A fourth suspect was arrested on Tuesday for the 2022 home invasion homicide that resulted in the death of 36-year-old Irah Sok.

At approximately 1 p.m., a 24-year-old suspect was taken into custody by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) Violent Offender Task Force in the 3600 block of Albion Place N., SCSO announced.

Detectives interviewed the suspect before he was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for first-degree murder. His bail is currently set at $5 million, and he is expected to make his first appearance in Snohomish County Superior Court on Friday.

The three previous individuals arrested include:
  • A 29-year-old from Pierce County, who remains in federal custody pending trial.
  • Chris Johnson, 24, from Pierce County, who pleaded guilty on March 11 to second-degree murder and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
  • Keilani Songcuan, 25, who remains in custody at the Snohomish County Jail on $1 million bail pending trial.

SCSO noted the investigation remains active and anyone with information is asked to call the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes tipline (425) 388-3845.

How the 2022 Everett homicide, home invasion unfolded

At approximately 3 a.m. on August 19, 2022, deputies responded to the 2600 block of 96th Street Southeast in Everett for a shooting. At the scene, deputies located the victim, who had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.

During the SCSO investigation, detectives learned three armed suspects kicked in the front door and forced entry into the home.

The suspects went to the second floor of the residence and entered the primary bedroom. One of the suspects shot the 36-year-old victim as she lay in bed next to her 7-year-old child. The victim’s husband was forced to the floor and zip-tied by the suspects.

The suspects “ransacked” the victim’s belongings and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of luxury possessions. Once the suspects fled, the victim’s husband ran out of the residence and made contact with a neighbor who called 911.

The investigation continued for several months before detectives, along with the Kent Police Department, got a break in the case at the end of 2022.
