A 15-year-old Lynnwood teenager is recovering at Harborview after police said he was shot twice at Lynnwood’s Meadowdale Park.
Police said it happened about 1:30 p.m., as school was letting out near 168th Street S.W., according to the Lynnwood Police Department.
An argument led to gunfire and a dozen kids running for cover.
The victim was hit twice in the leg and in the torso.
“The person who actually got hit fled on foot and was located a couple of blocks away,” Lynnwood Police Commander Joe Dickinson told KIRO Newsradio. “He’s been transported, I think, to Harborview, and he’s in stable condition.”
The shooter remains at large as of this reporting. Police are actively searching the neighborhood for surveillance video.
