34-year-old man in serious condition after Lynnwood shooting, suspect at large

Lynnwood police are investigating a shooting that left a 34-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday night.
Commander Joe Dickinson with the Lynnwood Police Department said officers responded at about 7:45 p.m. to reports of multiple shots near Hwy-99 and 200th Street Southwest. When they arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from several gunshot wounds.
“Officers provided first aid and got him transported to Harborview, where he was at least last night in serious condition. I believe he’s stable now,” Dickinson said.
Witnesses told police that the suspect or suspects took off in a vehicle after the shooting, but investigators do not yet know how many people were involved.
“We had witnesses say the suspect or suspects, we don’t know how many, fled in a vehicle, and that’s what we’re trying to piece together,” Dickinson said.

Detectives working to identify motive in Lynnwood shooting
Detectives have not identified a motive and are still working to determine what led up to the shooting and whether the victim and the suspect or suspects knew each other.
“They’re going to canvass the area, see if there’s any additional witnesses or video evidence, and work what leads we do have,” Dickinson said.
Police have not released additional information about the victim or potential suspects as the investigation continues.
