26-year-old woman shot multiple times in Pioneer Square, suspect at large

A 26-year-old woman was seriously injured after a shooting in Pioneer Square early Sunday morning.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., Seattle Police Department (SPD) officers were dispatched to reports of a shooting near Occidental Avenue S. and S. Jackson Street, SPD announced.
Victim shot multiple times in torso after Pioneer Square altercation
As officers arrived, they found a woman alert and conscious with several gunshot wounds to her torso.
SPD provided medical aid until the Seattle Fire Department (SFD) arrived. The victim was later transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
An investigation revealed that the victim was involved in an altercation with a man shortly before she was shot.
The suspect fled the scene in an unknown location before officers could arrive. One vehicle was damaged by the gunfire during the incident.
Gun Violence Reduction Unit detectives are leading the investigation and working to determine the events leading up to the shooting.
