Suspect in wig, red-tinted glasses robs Puyallup Bank at gunpoint

Police are looking for the individual who committed an armed robbery at a Puyallup bank on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 2:14 p.m., Puyallup Police Department (PPD) officers were sent to Harborstone Credit Union at 3921 S. Meridian after a report of a bank robbery, PPD announced.
Bank employees told officers a person had displayed a gun and demanded money from the teller. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash from the bank.

The suspect was described as a male with light brown complexion. The man is approximately 40 years old, standing 6 feet tall and weighing roughly 230 pounds.
During the robbery, the suspect was wearing a tan hat, a dark-colored wig, a pair of red-tinted glasses, a face mask, a blue flannel shirt with a neon yellow undershirt, brown pants, and grey shoes with white soles.
After getting the money, the person fled the scene on foot. Officers used a K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspect.
The Puyallup Police Department’s Investigative Services Unit is actively investigating and will be working with the bank to obtain video and photographs of the suspect.
