Suspect in custody after fight on Metro bus leads to shooting

A suspect is in custody after a fight on a King County Metro bus led to a shooting Friday around 10:30 a.m.
Two people got into a fight aboard the bus and then brought the fight to the sidewalk next to the bus, according to KIRO 7, citing Greg Woodfill, the president of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 587.
One person then allegedly shot the other person in the 800 block of Rainier Avenue South, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) reported via X.

Shooting occurs just next to King County Metro bus
SPD Detective Munoz told KIRO 7 the shooting happened just a few feet from the bus.
The man was shot in the chest and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, where he is currently in critical condition and is undergoing surgery.
The suspect is currently in custody, and the gun was seized by police.
