How we’ll make America svelte again

We lie all the time. Especially to ourselves. One of the biggest lies we tell ourselves: how can I be gaining weight when I hardly ever eat — that much?

Why does our food safety rating reflect grades in kindergarten?

We want to say yes to the dress, yet we lie about the pie.

Obesity researchers know all about this. The National Journal of Obesity published a paper concluding that most food studies that rely on people keeping food journals are probably worthless.

But now, the jig is up.

A team at Tufts University developed an electronic tooth tattoo. It’s a gold square, 2 millimeters across, that mounts right on your tooth. It is a wireless food sensor. The gold square is the antenna, which can send data from the embedded biosensor on your tooth to your phone, creating a precise record of everything you chew.

Celebrities like Alicia Vikander could live-stream their training meals.

I can even imagine an app where you can dial in your calorie allowance, and when you reach the limit, your phone would send an alert. Your sustainable fork would dissolve. The kitchen robot would take the leftovers. And the dining table would turn into a yoga mat. Then your name would be instantly added to the nationwide snack food do not sell database!

Ross: Voters weren’t just voting for change, they were voting for a hormone
