Listen to Dave Ross Commentary: More blatant politicking

The President is off on a bus tour to push his jobs program, and Republicans including majority leader Eric Cantor see it for what it is: BLATANT POLITICKING.

“We want the president to work with us. We want him to stop the campaigning.”

Stop the campaigning!

But he refuses! Instead, look where he’s going:

“The tour will take him through North Carolina and Virginia, two states the president won in 2008, but could lose in 2012,” said one report.

Virginia and North Carolina. Conservative country!

“President Obama will try to convince conservative voters that his ideas are the best ideas for everyone,” said another report.

And what are those ideas; what is he going to tell these conservative states? He’s going to tell them that he thinks the government should be creating jobs RIGHT NOW:

“Putting people back to work. I’m going to travel all over the country so that we can remind congress that that’s the most important thing,” said Obama.

Well, talk about serving up his own head on a platter! The Republicans just need to get up their own bus tour and point out that the last thing any conservative wants is for some government official to put Americans back to work!

They want to give the free market a chance to do that on its own.

Eric Cantor needs to go on his own bus tour and get the people chanting a counter message. Like, let me see — “America is stronger….” I know a good chant always rhymes – “America is stronger … if we wait a little longer.”

America is stronger if we wait a little longer.

Nothing gives enjoyment like two more years of unemployment.

I’ll keep working on it.

Ross: Voters weren’t just voting for change, they were voting for a hormone

The more I read the post-election analysis, the more I’m convinced voters weren’t just voting for a change – they were voting for a hormone.
