Did the president forget the words he repeated 3 weeks ago?

The decision of the Ninth Circuit Court judges, keeping in place the suspension of President Donald Trump’s temporary travel ban, isn’t just about the travel ban. It’s just as much about the way the president is trying to defend it.
He’s defending by arguing that his order is “unreviewable.”
Basically, he believes that it’s none of the court’s business because it involves immigration and it’s motivated by national security and therefore potential violations of constitutional rights don’t matter.

And here’s what the judges say about that.
“There is no precedent to support this claimed unreviewability, which runs contrary to the fundamental structure of our constitutional democracy.”
Those judges are thoroughly irritated.
And then they quoted case after case.
Quote: “The Constitution of the United States is a law for rulers and people, equally in war and in peace … under all circumstances.”
Quote: “It would indeed be ironic if, in the name of national defense, we would sanction the subversion of one of those liberties … which makes the defense of the nation worthwhile.”
Concluding: “It is beyond question that the federal judiciary retains the authority to adjudicate constitutional challenges to executive action.”
Basically, the Ninth Circuit said President Trump has already forgotten the words he repeated only three weeks ago during his inauguration.
“Preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
The Ninth Circuit judges seem to think that even a bad high school student should understand that.
