Ross: It’s 10 items or less, and no racism in the grocery line

Eric Sparkes doesn’t have a Twitter account. So when he decided – during a trip to the grocery store – to scold a woman for bringing too many items to the express lane, he didn’t know he was about to become famous.
The woman he scolded — and allegedly said other offending remarks to — was Erica Thomas, who turns out to be in the Georgia Legislature. She went on Facebook in tears, saying “Yes, I had 15 items, but I’m nine months pregnant and I can’t stand up for long.” She also alleges he told her to go back to where she came from, or something along those lines.
Trump says he tried to stop the chanting
Reporters started calling, and soon Sparkes found himself in a press conference outside the store north of Atlanta. He was standing next to Representative Thomas when he admitted to being ticked off at her. He denies telling Thomas to go back to where she came from.
“I called her a lazy little b-i-t-c-h,” Sparkes said at the press event.
Because she is black and he is white, and Trump is president, everyone is trying to figure out if this was a racist incident. To further complicate matters, Sparkes went and said, “I am Cuban, I am not white. I am white, but I am Cuban.”
He was raised by a grandmother who spoke no English. He is anti-Trump, on top of all that.
“Anti-Trump, anti-Republican, anti-racism,” Sparkes said.
Thus confounding everyone, except Republicans, who see two Democrats fighting and are too busy re-tweeting all this to care who is right.
I don’t know who’s right, but I do think it may be time for the Democrats to adopt government-run Universal Self-Checkout for all.
