There was no change in strategy, but there was a change in tone as President Obama stood next to President Hollande of France at the White House and declared ISIS cannot be tolerated.

“It must be destroyed and we must do it together,” he said.

Former Naval Intelligence officer Malcolm Nance says he knows how to accomplish that.

“I’ve survived suicide bombings, I’ve fought the terror war … I’ve been in these missions since 1991,” he said.

Nance served in the Middle East and specialized in getting information out of terrorists. He happened to witness Flight 77 hitting the Pentagon and wrote a book called “An End to Al Qaeda.” And last week he was on a military podcast on Reuters called “War College” where he said the real fight is between ISIS and traditional Islam.

“These groups think that traditional Islam &#8212 all of its policies of tolerance, respect, art, culture &#8212 is corrupt, illegal and un-Islamic,” he said. “And they intend to wipe it out.”

He says an Al Qaeda theologian once boasted to him there was only one way to defeat him and his followers, which included ruining their link to Islam, “because if we’re seen as un-Islamic, we will be crushed in the shadows.”

And that, he says, is exactly what we should do with the help of the religious authorities in Saudi Arabia.

“20 million leaflets … with one phrase, ‘you are now engaged with the devil,'” he explained. “You actually have to introduce doubt. Of course, every time you drop those leaflets, you do a massive bombing campaign of the city.”

… as a kind of explosive exclamation point.
