“We just want her to come home safely,” is the desperate plea from a Woodinville couple who need help finding their 14-year-old daughter.

Mariah Gonzalez was sleeping over at a friend’s house Saturday night when she left in the middle of the night. On Sunday, she was seen at Miners Corner Park in Bothell where she had been dropped off with some other friends.

Since then, she hasn’t had contact with anyone. Any attempt by her friends to reach out to her on social media are being blocked.

Her parents, Glen Gonzales and Jocelyn DuPont, joined the Gee and Ursula Show on Tuesday. They’ve filed a missing persons report with Woodinville Police but, even though she doesn’t have a history of running away, there’s not much the police can do.

They say tips have been pouring in, including information about a man in his 30s reaching out to Mariah on social media recently and offering her thousands of dollars in exchange for pictures. After hearing our interview, other parents reached out to tell us their children have also been offered money by strangers on Instagram who want them to send photos of themselves.

Mariah is 5’3″, about 135 pounds, with straight, shoulder length hair that has been dyed pinkish red. She is fair-skinned with freckles and green eyes. She was last wearing a black hoodie and grey leggings. If you see her or know anything about her whereabouts, you’re asked to call Woodinville Police.

“We’re not looking to get anyone in trouble,” Gonzalez said. “We love her and just want her back home.”

Please keep on the lookout for Mariah! Her father will join us live next. https://www.facebook.com/100040044831362/posts/337192947625530/?extid=k6bMZEqH4fBEtdeB&d=n
