‘Try not to be a cheater’: Gee and Ursula discuss what’s next for Astronomer CEO

Jul 19, 2025, 6:01 AM

A “kiss cam” moment at a Coldplay concert Wednesday night revealed Astronomer CEO Andy Byron allegedly cheating on his wife with the company’s head of HR, Kristin Cabot, The New York Post reported.

The two were caught in a warm embrace on the jumbotron and immediately ducked, but KIRO host Gee Scott believes their reaction made the situation worse.

“If they would have just kept going, nobody would have paid any attention, because the person with the video wouldn’t know what they had,” he said. “But instead, they ducked down.”

Coldplay singer Chris Martin even acknowledged the moment, saying, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”

A fake statement, purported to be written by Byron, has been circulating online.

“As a friend once sang: ‘Lights will guide you home, and ignite your bones, and I will try to fix you,'” the last line of the false statement read.

However, neither Byron nor Cabot has spoken publicly about the incident, according to The New York Post.

KIRO host Ursula Reutin posed the question: “What would you do if you were him?”

“I don’t know if he is sorry or not, but if he is: ‘I am sorry for the embarrassment that I caused my family, my company, and there is no excuse for what I did. I’m not trying to minimize this,'” Gee said. “‘Not only did I let down my family and company, but I violated by dating a subordinate at my company, the head of HR. Going forward, I’m probably about to lose my family, probably about to lose my job as CEO, but I will learn from this,’ because the truth is, you have no choice but to learn.

“My boy, you’re gonna learn,” he added.

Gee and Ursula’s advice for Astronomer CEO

Gee claimed there are two rules Byron violated, in addition to cheating on his wife. The first — “Don’t date anybody at work” and the second — “Don’t date another man’s wife.”

“Yeah, that might be the starting message,” Ursula agreed. “Let’s just start there: Try not to be a cheater and, if you’re going to be a cheater, you better own it and do a better job of masking it, because what you did has now become the world’s largest meme.”

Variety compiled a list as the incident sparked a slew of memes.

Gee noted that while people may forget about the scandal by Monday, memes are forever.
