Ask Dave & Luke: Are breasts on men effective birth control?

In a conversation about a new male birth control being
tested, host Dave Ross mentioned serious side effects that
had scientists abandoning earlier attempts at such a
product.
“I think some of the other ones had you actually growing
breasts,” said Ross.
According to a Los Angeles Times report, the current gel
product being tested is showing promise at lowering sperm
count to a level that would prevent pregnancy without
major side effects.
But before scientists head down this new path, listener
Kathy in Lynnwood points out they might have actually been
on the right track.
“A guy with breasts is effective birth control,” Kathy
writes in a Magic Message.
“Many times what we think of as a bug is actually a
feature,” Ross agrees.
Will effective
male birth control mean a lot fewer babies?
