After photos of Prince Harry playing naked billiards were leaked, Vegas is working to restore it’s trademark claim “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”

“This is a big problem for Las Vegas, because Las Vegas trades on anonymity,” says Ross and Burbank host Dave Ross, “the idea is that it’s sin city. You’re there to have as much fun as you possibly can.”

Ross says Vegas is all the way out there in the desert so people can engage in these embarrassing, irresponsible behaviors without word of their doings getting back to people in their real life.

After someone posted photos of the naked prince enjoying his Vegas times, the convention and visitors authority in the city is moving quickly to promote its “Know the Code” movement.

“What’s this code all about” says the Know the Code promotional video. “It’s your declaration that while others may break the code, when you’re in Vegas, what happens here will actually stay here.”

The video says you can still tweet and take photos, but don’t take things “too far.” It asks for people willing to agree to the terms to take an oath which reads:

I promise to follow the code of Las Vegas by not tweeting, tagging, posting, telling, whispering, emoting, defining, drawing up, writing about or in any way revealing the all-powerful What Happens Here, Stays Here moment of me or anyone else in my party to others not on said trip during or at any time after said trip’s duration – i.e.: The moment being the part or parts of the trip that should stay in Las Vegas. The other parts are fine … So sayeth this person.

The video also asks travelers to report those that violate the code by posting their names on the website. They encourage those who violate the codes themselves to turn themselves in.

Ross and Burbank host Luke Burbank is in Las Vegas right now, and producer Andrew Walsh is concerned this might impact the show.

“This presents a problem to me as a producer because I was really banking on the fact that the first segment of tomorrow’s show could be all about Luke’s adventures in Vegas,” says Andrew. “I’m worried that if he took this oath, he’s not going to say anything during the entire 14 minute segment.”

Dave reminds Andrew as long as Burbank isn’t going “too far” he likely won’t be at risk of breaking the code.

“He usually tells us about what he himself did,” says Ross. “I believe it’s OK to out yourself.”

No official word yet on whether Luke has taken the oath. Listen Tuesday to see if Luke’s open to dish or is keeping quiet.
