Joy Hollingsworth on Seattle's 100-Day Public Safety Plan

35 of Seattle's most powerful employers and organizations signed a letter calling on Mayor Katie Wilson and the Seattle City Council to produce a comprehensive public safety plan within 100 days. Council President Joy Hollingsworth joined The Gee and Ursula Show to respond directly.

She agreed with the urgency. She laid out her five-point public safety framework — response times, encampment activity, fentanyl overdose deaths, types of crimes, and who's being victimized. And she acknowledged what the 34% confidence poll is really telling the city: people don't trust that City Hall can execute.
