Seattle's RV Ban Becomes Law Today. Will It Work?
Seattle's RV ordinance becomes law today unless Mayor Katie Wilson vetoes it — and so far, she hasn't.
Starting April 30th, unpermitted RVs will be limited to two hours on city streets with no overnight parking between midnight and 6 AM. A 90-day warning period comes first. Free permits will let qualifying individuals stay in designated industrial areas while they work toward shelter — but they'll need the title to their vehicle and must be part of a one-time city census. After that census, all overnight RV parking becomes illegal.
