An Amber alert was issued and subsequently canceled after a missing 4-year-old boy from Bremerton was found safe.

The alert went out for a few hours Sunday for the missing Bremerton boy after he was allegedly abducted by his mother, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

It was sent shortly after 10 a.m.

According to the sheriff’s office, the mother of the 4-year-old boy made threats to harm both herself and the boy. The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office reported the boy’s mother took him from his bed at approximately 12 a.m. Sunday morning.
