Two-alarm fire erupts inside Arlington logging facility, shuts down several roads

Jul 22, 2026, 10:20 AM

A two-alarm commercial fire broke out inside a logging company warehouse early in the morning in Arlington, shutting down several roads on Wednesday as crews worked to extinguish the blaze.

At approximately 6 a.m., North County Regional Fire Authority crews responded to the scene at the Stella Jones building, near 188th Street N.E., the City of Arlington announced.

Arlington fire blocks multiple roads as fire crews douse blaze

As a result of the fire, several road closures took effect between the 6300 and 6700 blocks of 188th N.E. Street.

City officials advised residents to be aware of the road closures and avoid the area while crews worked to clear the scene.

A short time later, the City of Arlington advised residents of possible temporary sediment, discoloration, or brown water in their taps, according to KIRO 7.

“When firefighters open fire hydrants to fight a fire, this creates a high water flow through the city’s water mains. This sudden surge can loosen rust and sediment inside the pipes,” the City of Arlington wrote. “This is not harmful, but please avoid using water for the next few hours to allow the sediment to settle in the lines. If you need to use water, please use cold water until the color of the water clears.”

No injuries were reported.
