Body found among recyclables at waste management center

Apr 20, 2016, 11:01 AM | Updated: 12:51 pm

Human remains were found at a recycling center in Woodinville, but officials say it is not related to the body parts found of a murdered Renton mother.

The body of a man between the ages of 30-50, was found at the Cascade Recycling Center in Woodinville around 6 a.m. Wednesday.

“Detectives responded and did, in fact, find a male that was deceased amongst the recyclables,” said Cindy West with the King County Sheriff’s Office.

“The medical examiner’s office and King County’s Sheriff’s Office are investigating,” she said. “We do not have a cause of death, manner of death, or have identification on the individual yet.”

Unlike the other recent incidents of human remains found in recycling bins and at a center in Seattle, the body found in Woodinville was intact.
KIRO 7 reports that dead bodies are sometimes found at waste management centers after recycling trucks pick up large containers with homeless individuals in them.
