Saturday will likely be the first day in months that highs will dip below 70 degrees.

The National Weather Service says Saturday will be the coldest day since mid-June, ending the streak of warm weather.

“First day in a while since we haven’t hit 70,” KIRO 7 Meteorologist Nick Allard told Seattle’s Morning News.

Daily highs haven’t dipped below 70 since around June 28, according to Allard. Saturday will be the coldest day since June 17, Allard says.

Temperatures are expected to increase on Sunday, with highs hovering around the mid-to-high 70s through Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the smoke from the active Washington wildfires continues to clear. It will be another few days before the air quality is back to normal.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Dustin Guy says a weak weather system has begun to scour the sky. Another system over the weekend will continue to clear it out.

The air quality will be back to close to normal by Sunday, he says.
