Level 3 evacuations in Yakima County for Colwash Fire

Level 3 GO NOW evacuations are in effect in Yakima County for the Colwash Fire.
According to the deputy state fire marshal, the fire has now burned 8,000 acres in the county after it was discovered shortly before 8 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities said the fire is burning and threatening homes, infrastructure, and cultural sites.
According to the county’s emergency management center, anyone in these areas should LEAVE NOW.
- Hwy 22 and Glade Road S to the Klickitat County line
- Glade Road E to the Benton County Line.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
