A Good Samaritan who stopped to help another driver was pinned between two cars on Interstate 5 Thursday by a third driver looking at a phone while driving.
The Washington State Patrol says the victim stopped to help a driver with a flat tire on the shoulder of northbound I-5 north of Burlington, and pulled in behind the car.
Trooper Mark Francis says a third car crashed into the back of the Good Samaritan’s car, pinning him between the two other cars.
Francis says the driver was looking down at his mobile phone when he crashed.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
